International Jazz Day Celebration at Le Chat Noir in Downtown Miami!

A very nice write-up by Maria Ruiz for I'm Not Your Boring Newspaper! Photo of the MBSO with Lourdes Valentin at Open Stage club in Coral Gables FLorida.
Class, Brass and Plenty of Latin Sass with the Miami Big Sound Orchestra Miami, some good friends, and all that jazz. That is exactly what you get with the Miami Big Sound Orchestra, a group of 17 musicians that have been playing the Miami music scene together for about 10 years. The MBSO blends Afro-Cuban sounds with contemporary big-band jazz, funk and soul. The band members are all professional musicians who have performed and toured with a plethora of award-winning artists such as Chayanne, Tito Nieves, Chaka Khan, Jon Secada and many more. "There are so many musical scenes in Miami. Just when you think you know them all, you discover a new one, and that is really the essence of our group. We all come from different musical backgrounds, but what keeps us together is our love for jazz music,” said Pete Francis, Music Director and trumpet player for the band. ~ Find INYBN columnist Maria Ruiz's feature story in INYBN's "Fall Equinox/ Oktoberfest' edition~ Photo Credits: Philip Avello
