Miami Big Sound Orchestra

The Miami Big Sound Orchestra is Miami's resident downtown big band, a project formed in 2006 as a collaboration of musicians from Miami's unique blend of musical communities.  The group combines contemporary big-band jazz with Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music, Funk, and Soul, including original works by bassist/composer Rafael Valencia, Grammy-winner Chino Nunez and former Ray Barretto keyboardist Jaui Schneider.

The band  is comprised of Miami's veteran musicians who regularly perform, tour, and record with major-label artists.  The roster of combined credits includes Celia Cruz, Rey Ruiz, Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, Chayanne, Tito Nieves, Cheo Feliciano, Luis Enrique, Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz, Issac Delgado, K.C. & the Sunshine Band, Chaka Khan, and the Funk Brothers of Detroit to name a few.
